The school will provide classes in all subjects in both English and Telugu, the local language.

The government-funded school in the village is currently in danger of losing its teachers. The local church cannot promise financial help or qualified teachers, either.

Education is one of the surest ways to lift children out of the cycle of poverty and into a chance for a better life. The need is deep, and the cost is around $80,000. To contribute to the school fund or to help fund a teacher’s salary at the school, please email support@birdsint.com.

Pamuleti supported by a BIRDS International sponsor, was one of the first sponsored children to completed high school and received first rank marks on his final exams. Even more exciting was the news that he was chosen by the government from thousands of children to be offered a full ride scholarship at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT). This is considered both a prestigious college and prestigious seat, it is both difficult and costly to be admitted to this school. This is encouraging both to us at BIRDS International and to our sponsors as it demonstrates that even small donations, $15 per month, can significantly impact the life of a child and provide a quality education.
